Park believes in Mourinho

Former Manchester United forward Ji Sung Park still believes in Jose Mourinho. On the back of their latest comeback (and hopefully a fresh start with a new impetus on attacking football) he said that every team has a poor period and that it is important that the players and the fans get behind the coach, especially given that the Portuguese manager is one of the best managers in the world who will surely find a solution to their problem.

With United supposedly having one of their best games under Jose in the 3-0 home defeat to Spurs, unfortunatley their next match (a convincing win) turned out to be a false dawn, with United slipping to turgid defeats and draws in their next few games. John Terry believes Manchester United are lacking leadership qualities

Chelsea legend John Terry believes Manchester United’s average start to the season could be blamed on the players rather than manager Jose Mourinho. The Red Devils have made a disappointing start to the campaign with just six points from the opening four games and this has supposedly made Mourinho the bookies’ favourite to be sacked.

Despite this, a number of former players and pundits have come in the support of Mourinho and Terry has now stated that United are missing big characters within the squad who can stand up when needed, he told The Mail: “At every club he has had big characters and I’m not sure he has that at Manchester United at the moment. I do think he’ll bring success to United, but it needs patience.”

Former Chelsea and France international midfielder Claude Makelele believes that Jose Mourinho needs some time to improve Manchester United. He said that the Red Devils have made a poor start to their season and that they will have to improve quickly if they want to finish high in the table.

Claude Makelele was part of the Chelsea team managed by Jose Mourinho that won the Premier League. He said that the Portuguese manager is still a good manager and that he is still the right man for the job. However, he admitted that Jose Mourinho appears to be tired and that this may be the reason why he appeared to be frustrated during interviews. (more…)

Mourinho would fight to sign Real Madrid forward

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that he would fight with other top coaches to sign Gareth Bale, should the opportunity arise this summer. The Wales international has been the subject of immense speculation in recent days with Real Madrid looking to potentially replace him with AS Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.

Bale, 27, has been an integral part of the Los Blancos squad since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013. However, his position has more or less weakened over the past year with injuries preventing him from staking a regular place on the right side of the attack. (more…)
